Introducing ASN Partner the Center for Innovation in Postsecondary Education

Published: January 1, 2025

The Center for Innovation in Postsecondary Education (CIPE), at the University of South Alabama, has joined NASPA — Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA) as a partner in the Advising Success Network (ASN). The Center for Innovation in Postsecondary Education (CIPE) advances student success by partnering with community colleges, universities, employers, and mission-aligned organizations to design and scale transformative practices in postsecondary education and workforce development. Our work centers on improving postsecondary attainment and employment outcomes for all students—especially first-generation, underrepresented, low-income, and rural learners.

CIPE’s initial projects with the ASN are:

  • A case study report titled Centering the Role of Advising Redesign for Effective Guided Pathways Implementation featuring six institutions
  • Courses for the ASN’s online learning platform, supporting Succession Planning; Protocols for Collecting Student Voice; and Protocols for Bias Incident Reporting
  • A community of practice structure to be offered as an ASN service

The case studies and online courses will be available via the ASN website once finalized. CIPE’s consistent efforts in scaling evidence-based approaches to improve student success have made a significant impact on higher education, and the ASN is proud to partner with CIPE for further work.
