Announcing the Fall 2025 Advising Success Network Student Fellows

Published: November 19, 2025

We’re thrilled to introduce the 2025 ASN Student Fellowship cohort! This fall, a new group of undergraduate and graduate students from across the country have joined us for a semester of research, collaboration, and professional growth. StrategyForward Advisors is providing coordination and support for the Fellows cohort, project activities, and mentor engagement.

What Is the ASN Student Fellowship?

The ASN Student Fellowship offers students the opportunity to engage in applied research on college advising while building essential skills for their academic and professional futures. Over the course of a semester, Fellows will work in small, mentor-guided teams to explore questions that shape the advising experience and contribute to improving student success in higher education.

The Fellowship is a collaborative learning experience that emphasizes inquiry, evidence-based thinking, and innovative problem-solving. Fellows will gain practical research experience while developing communication, teamwork, and analytical skills that prepare them for graduate study or entry into the workforce.

What Fellows Will Do

Fellows will identify a research question related to college advising—for example, how first-generation students experience academic advising or how technology is transforming advising practices. Throughout the semester, they will learn about designing and conducting research, analyzing findings, and translating insights into practical applications.

Each team is paired with an expert mentor and provides guidance, feedback, and professional insight. These mentor relationships help Fellows connect their academic learning to real-world contexts and understand the impact of advising on student success.

The program will culminate in a collaborative “pitch” style virtual convening where Fellows present their ideas and proposed solutions in formats such as project proposals, conference outlines, or implementation frameworks. This final experience allows students to synthesize their learning and showcase their ability to apply research to real challenges in higher education.

Meet the Fall 2025 ASN Student Fellows

This semester’s cohort brings together an inspiring mix of perspectives, experiences, and ideas. We’re proud to welcome our Fellows, listed below in alphabetical order.

Note: Fellows were invited to write their own short bio to share their background and interests. Bios and headshots are included for those who submitted them.
